FaceApp, what is?

Image
Here's the Deal with That Old Age Face App Everyone's Using. http://bit.ly/2KhPYc5 If you've been on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other internet service that lets you share photos, you may have seen the name FaceApp … or at least saw some creepy photos of people morphed into younger and older versions of themselves. FaceApp is not new. It first hit the headlines two years ago with its "ethnicity filters". These purported to transform faces of one ethnicity into another - a feature that sparked a backlash and was quickly dropped. The app can, however, turn blank or grumpy expressions into smiling ones. And it can tweak make-up styles. "It would be better for privacy to process the photos on the smartphone itself but it would be likel...

Nintendo is unveiling an updated version of its Switch console today

Nintendo quietly upgrades the Switch with up to 9 hours of battery life. Nintendo of America hasn't said when the refreshed Switch will reach stores. The Japanese division, however, has teased an August release in that country. You'll be paying the same price as before, wherever you live. There aren't any conspicuous changes to the design or performance. The FCC filings that previewed the new Switch made references to a new processor and storage, but the specs suggest Nintendo was focused on improving efficiency, not frame rates or resolution. About the only external changes are the digits on the outside. If you're looking for this new version, you'll want to look for the HAC-001(-01) model number and a serial number that starts with XKW. ...

What is 5G? 5G is generally seen as the fifth generation cellular network technology that provides broadband access. The rules, which cover everything from what frequency radiowaves should be to how cell towers should verify which phones they’re talking with, were finalised last May at a conference in California, where more than 600 delegates hammered out the last details needed to fully upgrade from the pre-existing 4G standard. 5G, for Fifth Generation, is the latest update to the raft of international standards that dictate how mobile phones should work. Probably not. In fact, the speed increases of 5G are so huge that mobile carriers have struggled to come up with practical examples of just how fast it is. In practice, almost everything you would do with a 5G connection would be instant, or limited by factors other than connection speed. It should, yes. A typical 5G cell tower can handle a hundred times more unique devices than a 4G one could, according to Huawe...
